Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about things you can do on MarinOpenHomes.com.

 

How do I register on the site?

Click on the Register link in the upper right corner of the menu bar.  If you don�t see it, you may already be logged in!

1.       Fill in your information on the registration form, making sure to complete the required fields (marked with a red asterisk). 

2.       Click the red button at the bottom: �Create new account�. 

3.       An email will be automatically sent to the email address that you provided.

4.       Check your email and be sure to note your temporary password that was automatically created for you.  You can use this password until you change it later.

5.       Click on the link in the message body which will automatically log you into the Web site.

6.       You can now change your password by clicking on My Account in the menu bar, and type in your new password.

 

How do I manage my account, my profile, or my listings?

Simply click �Log In� in the upper right corner of the menu bar.  Once you�re in, you will see a new navigation bar at the top.  Click on My Listings, My Account, My Profile, or Create New Open Home, accordingly.

 

How do I create a new listing?

You may create a new listing by clicking on Create New Open Home in the upper left corner after you have logged in.

 

How do I change my username or password?

After logging in, you may change your username and password by clicking on My Account in the menu at the top. Simply enter a new username in the Username field or type a new password in the Password field.

 

How do I update my personal information?

Click on My Profile in the menu at the top of the page. From there you can edit all your personal information.

 

How do I upload or edit my photo?

Once you�re logged in, click on My Profile in the menu at the top of the page. If you already have photo, click on the red button marked Delete first to remove the existing photo.

 

Can I post open homes that are located outside of Marin County?

MarinOpenHomes.com restricts listings to Marin County only. Please do not post open home listings that are outside Marin County.

 

Can I change the order of the photos in my listings?

Yes. To edit the order of the photos in one of your listings, click on My Listings in the menu at the top of the page after you are logged in. Click Edit. Now you can edit your listing's details. To edit the order of the photos, drag the + icon next to the photo you want to move to a different spot in the order. Be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page to update the listing.
