Ethics & Etiquette

Open House Etiquette  REALTORS(R) are reminded of these simple courtesies regarding open house and showing etiquette. 
  • leave the home as you found it
  • leave your business card
  • follow showing instructions (including making an appointment rather than just popping in)
  • honor the appointment by showing up
  • leave the home secure by closing and locking windows, doors, etc.
  • don't make negative verbal comments about the home (even though the seller is occasionally present)
  • be courteous when calling the seller for an appointment by identifying who you are, which brokerage you are with and what your phone number is.
