Open House Etiquette REALTORS(R) are reminded of these simple courtesies regarding open house and showing etiquette.
- leave the home as you found it
- leave your business card
- follow showing instructions (including making an appointment rather than just popping in)
- honor the appointment by showing up
- leave the home secure by closing and locking windows, doors, etc.
- don't make negative verbal comments about the home (even though the seller is occasionally present)
- be courteous when calling the seller for an appointment by identifying who you are, which brokerage you are with and what your phone number is.
